Trimorta v1.1 Update!


Hi Everyone,

I've been postponing sharing an update due to recent calamities that hit the Philippines. After two consecutive and destructive typhoons, power and internet connection were out for quite a long time. However, I had limited access to power and internet, so I still managed to work on the game's upgrade during those initial weeks after the storm. After some time, the power was restored and I continued to get more things done. Now, over a month later, I'm proud to announce Trimorta version 1.1! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Here's a list of main changes to the game:

  • Improved AI Monster Behavior - replaces the old aim tracking with the help of NavMesh and it's now set-up to be more unpredictable.
  • Space Ship New Texture - now uses a custom design instead of just a repeating tile texture.
  • Map Tweaks - everything from shaders, mesh fixes and object placements.
  • Skybox Tweak - added a sun at the texture and gave the overall image more contrast, so the stars pop.
  • Volumetric Light & Mist - to enhance the visual impact and for more immersion.
  • New Interactable Objects - new things to spook you and give hints.
  • New Particle Effects - new steam, smog, sparks, and splashes.
  • Player Controller Fixes and Tweaks - just general improvements, like new animation, clamped diagonal movement, flash mechanics, etc.
  • New Static Objects - just to fill in some empty spaces in the world, and also to help guide player through the levels.
  • UI HUD Tweaks - new status display, interactive tutorial sequence, stamina gauge, controls and graphics settings at pause screen. While the new sensitivity controls can be changed in-game using - or +.
  • Background Music changes with Level Progression - each floor will now trigger a new ambient music, plus a new custom end track "Unknown Fate" will play when you beat the game.
  • Best Time Display - challenge yourself or anyone and be the fastest survivor.
  • Game End Cameras - more cameras to loop through at the end screen, if you stay to watch it longer.
  • New Loading Screen - also displays randomized tips whenever you restart.
  • Bug Fixes - various stuff like monster running endlessly at a wall, player recharges without any light visible, UI scaling of screens, etc.

I believe that's all, there's many underlying stuff there that I might be forgetting, but they're probably minor.
Anyway, I'm happy with this current version, I think it's in a state where it doesn't need updating anymore, except if you guys find any game-breaking bugs, please let me know. Thanks for dropping by and see you guys around! ๐Ÿ˜‰
