Trimorta v1.22 Update


Hi everyone! Welcome to another Trimorta update! For this one, it's all about making the game less confusing/frustrating & difficult. Curious to know what changed? Let's check them out below!

Fixes/Changes/Improvements ๐Ÿ› 

  • Control Tutorial - now situation-based instead of a fixed sequence. Also removed the accompanying subtitle to help focus on controls.
  • Floor Level Display - makes the map image on the right side of the screen more obvious.
  • Flashscan & Absorb Light UI prompts - should help make their functions clearer.
  • Continuous Flashscan - hold down LMB to keep using the flash charges.
  • Absorb Light Fill Bar - visually indicates when charging is complete.
  • Crew Signal Location List - to help identify where to find objectives.
  • Better Elevators - you can now move around inside. Also fixed a bug where it won't be in the right position when respawning.
  • High Fall - experience a motion feedback from dropping from a high point.
  • Reload from Checkpoint - manually go back to the previous save point through the pause menu.
  • "Unknown" entity - fixed sliding when moving & reduced the movement speed. Now spawns correctly when you reload from checkpoint.
  • Post-Processing changes - decreased brightness to avoid overly bright areas/spots.
  • Performance - reduced light usage to focus more on important areas like doors.
  • Removed LMB & RMB controls from Main Screen - to avoid accidental selection/toggle of difficulty.
  • Fog Free Zone around Player - to help navigate around darker zones & to avoid inducing motion sickness.
  • Material tweak to Smoke/Dust - to reveal lights that are behind them.
  • Disabled Pause Menu during death - to avoid messing with the Game Over screen.
  • Few UI recolors & tweaks
  • Updated to Unity 2022.3.4f1

The list looks short, but the work took longer than expected. So I wasn't able to add in other ideas I had during the allotted time frame. Some of those were to have "collectable data", so players can have reading moments. Others are secret items that can affect gameplay progression. I also planned to have human character models to improve storytelling. But I guess these can be in another update, maybe focusing more on the narrative side of things. But yeah, I'm so happy to finally get this update out. Hopefully this helps improve your spook experience even more!
